The Nepal AgriTECH Challenge launched by The UNCDF received 123 registrations and 69 submissions from all over the country. After a three-stage process that included design, product development, and final selection, ten teams were chosen as finalists. The finalists presented their projects to an audience of development partners, potential investors, and an independent jury after an incubation and design period consisting of two intensive boot camps. The Nepal AgriTECH Challenge is a place where people can develop new ideas, develop them, and then put them into action in Nepal's agriculture sector. The goal of this challenge was to bridge the gap between agriculture and technology by assisting innovators and existing start-ups in developing solutions to problems that smallholder farmers and the private sector companies that serve them face.
